Week 70
- We have a friend who chose her baptism date! It will be in January which is exciting and what's also exciting is that she is excited to participate in the first fast Sunday of the year just before her baptism.
- We went to pray for someone we think is a member... at least that's what they told us. But every part of their wall was covered with stuffed animals. There were a lot of eyes on us!
- We met someone who had been receiving lessons from the missionaries but stopped. They know that the church is true, they just had and have financial problems when it comes to getting married. It's cool seeing how as we do what we are supposed to be doing, or what we have been asked to do, the Lord puts people in our paths.
- We had our ward Christmas party and there were some less active families and also friends who weren't members. We almost had a noche de hogar with the friend, but then the friend didn't come so maybe this week!
- We were given christmas gifts from a few members! and I also spoke in church about sharing the gospel during Christmas time. We're getting ready for Christmas here! and I'm excited!
- And to end we had a few changes made here in the mission... We are now all getting up at 6 in the morning! yep! 6 instead of 6:30, but now we should be in bed by 10 instead of 10:30. A few other changes also came our way, but we are hoping for miracles this January!
This week I was studying about discipleship and how to be an effective missionary, we must be faithful disciples of Jesus Christ. And He will help us to love and bless His children wherever we serve. When we live according to His teachings, we are called His disciples. I have loved serving a mission which has helped me come to know His teachings better. and I have learned to treasure the gift of daily repentance. Each day we can learn, change, and grow. Daily we can become better disciples of Him!
